Ridging for radish (Best way to grow radish) – Radish growing guide

Grow radish in netting grow tunnel. Radishes grow quickly, and after about two weeks from seeding, they will need the next care. This time, we will mound the soil around the radishes planted in the ground. (Cover the base of radishes with soil.)

Ridging for radish (Cover the base of radishes with soil)

Radishes were sown in early September. (The best time to plant radish seeds is in the fall.) About 15 days have passed since then. The sprouted radishes have developed true leaves and are growing well.

We prepared the soil in mid-August and sowed radish seeds in early September.

The red part at the base of the radish is the hypocotyl. Since radishes are vegetables where this hypocotyl swells, we mound the soil a little to facilitate growth.

Ridging supports the base of the radish, enabling more stable growth. (Ridging helps radish roots firmly establish, making it easier for them to grow.) With this, the ridging for radishes is complete. Wishing for robust growth.
